- ...and, during that same time frame, cut their dividend down to nearly nothing.... which was a crushing blow to retirees (like my parents) who had been stockholders for decades and counted on those dividends as part of their retirement planning.

- Sheesh, ill informed much?? The law does NOT require that all people 26 and under get health insurance coverage from their parents. It allows for that option if the parent is so inclined.

- Conservatives will tell us that people need to take "personal responsibility" and we don't need a nanny government to dictate things like this to us. I don't necessarily disagree with that, but, remember, personal responsibility means FULL personal responsibility.

- The airline did not overreact in the least. FAA regulations REQUIRE that all passengers be buckled into their seats prior to take off. The airline has no leeway here. Either every passenger is properly buckled or the airline is subject to fines and other punishment.
